SK Geo Centric will showcase its high-value chemical products and technology at Chinaplas, the world\u2019s third largest plastics and rubber trade fair.<\/span><\/p>\n

SK Geo Centric announced its participation in Chinaplas 2024 on April 21. The trade fair will be held for four days starting from April 23 at the National Exhibition and Convention Center (NECC) in Shanghai, China. At the event, SK Geo Centric will focus on presenting future high value-added chemical products, including Ethylene Acrylic Acid (EAA), Ionomer (I\/O) and lightweight materials.<\/span><\/p>\n

The theme of Chinaplas 2024 is \u201cSmart Manufacturing, Advanced Materials and Eco-Friendly Recycling Solutions.\u201d About 4,400 companies and institutions will join the trade fair and 250,000 visitors are expected to visit there as well.<\/span><\/p>\n

SK Geo Centric will greet global customers with a display of next-generation chemical products. The 340 square meter exhibition booth is organized into three sectors: Tie & Sealing Solution, New Energy Solution, Lifestyle Solution and Advanced Solution.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Tie & Sealing Solution and New Energy Solution sectors will demonstrate EAA and Ionomer as their core products. EAA, a high-value chemical product mainly utilized in packaging materials and industrial adhesives, has high applicability in many sectors and is expected to see significant expansion in the global market. In 2017 SK Geo Centric took over EAA plants in the United States and Spain, and is currently building a third EAA plant in China. In addition, the New Energy Solution sector would feature Polyolefin Elastomer (POE), which is known for its superior properties and thus used in solar photovoltaic power panels.<\/span><\/p>\n

In particular, officials from SK Geo Centric said, \u201cHigh Acid EAA used in recycled paper packaging, eco-friendly can coating and adhesive materials for battery is a unique technology of SK Geo Centric among other global competitors\u201d. \u201cSK Geo Centric would continue to expand its portfolios of high-value chemical products sought by global customers, including Primacor and Ionia.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

The Lifestyle Solution sector inside SK Geo Centric\u2019s exhbition will display products that apply the \u201c3R Solution\u201d, which stands for Recycle, Reduce, and Replacement in terms of plastic. The sector includes not only UD tape, a lightweight material for vehicles that is lighter and stronger than traditional metals and plastics but also Polyethylene (PE) and Polypropylene (PP) which are used in home appliances, medical devices, and automobile parts. It would also feature a high-value product LOTRYL.<\/span><\/p>\n

Furthermore, SK Geo Centric will hosting a seminar in order to increase communication with customers. Through the seminar, it will introduce its technology and business capabilities to about 70 client companies and institutions.<\/span><\/p>\n

SK Geo Centric CEO Na Kyung-soo stated, \u201cThis year\u2019s Chinaplas would serve as an opportunity for us to widely promote our competitiveness in high-value products and to introduce various solutions to global customers.<\/span><\/p>\n
