SK IE Technology (SKIET) held its 6th<\/sup> Annual General Meeting of Shareholders and Board of Directors meeting on March 25 at SK Seorin Building in Jongno-gu, Seoul, where Lee Sang-min, President of SKIET, was officially appointed as the company\u2019s new Chief Executive Officer (CEO).<\/span><\/p>\n

During the General Meeting, SKIET announced that key agenda items were approved as proposed, including:<\/span><\/p>\n

\u2022 Approval of the 6th<\/sup> Financial Statements,<\/span><\/p>\n

\u2022 Appointment of Lee Sang-min as an Executive Director,<\/span><\/p>\n

\u2022 Reappointment of Ahn Jin-ho as an Independent Director,<\/span><\/p>\n

\u2022 Approval of the director compensation limit for 2025.<\/span><\/p>\n

Lee Sang-min, the newly appointed CEO of SKIET, is a seasoned technology expert who began his career as a researcher at SK Innovation. He has built a diverse portfolio of expertise in business development and marketing. In particular, Lee served as Head of Green Growth Division at SK Enmove, where he successfully established new businesses, such as electric vehicle (EV) lubricants, within a short period of time, earning recognition for his leadership and execution capabilities.<\/span><\/p>\n

Following his appointment as Executive Director during the General Meeting, Lee was named CEO during the Board of Directors meeting held later that day. <\/span><\/p>\n

The reappointment of Ahn Jin-ho as an Independent Director was also approved. Ahn, a professor of Materials Science and Engineering at Hanyang University, brings extensive expertise in materials research and practical industry experience. His continued presence on the Board strengthens SKIET\u2019s governance with specialized knowledge in the field.<\/span><\/p>\n

The agenda items, including the approval of the financial statements and the director compensation limit, were presented and approved as proposed with the support of the majority of shareholders.<\/span><\/p>\n

During the business report presented at the meeting, SKIET highlighted the increasing demand for non-China-sourced materials among battery companies seeking to enter the U.S. market. Leveraging this market dynamic, SKIET plans to strengthen customer-focused management by securing differentiated cost competitiveness and enhancing technological capabilities. Notably, in February, SKIET signed a KRW 290 billion separator supply contract and is currently engaged in discussions with various domestic and international clients regarding new supply agreements.<\/span><\/p>\n

Lee Sang-min, the newly appointed CEO of SKIET, stated, \u201cWe will strengthen SKIET\u2019s core competitiveness to make this year a pivotal moment for growth. By prioritizing customer-focused management as a key value, we aim to achieve results in our global customer diversification strategy and maximize corporate value.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n
