On November 24th<\/sup>, SK hi-tech battery materials Jiangsu members made a special visit to Jintan Enlightenment School (\u91d1\u575b\u533a\u542f\u667a\u5b66\u6821), an institute for children with developmental disabilities. The school is in Changzhou, Jiangsu province, China, where the company\u2019s LiBS manufacturing plant is located.<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n SK hi-tech battery materials Jiangsu (hereafter \u201cLiBS Changzhou\u201d) is an overseas LiBS* production site of SK IE Technology, a material business subsidiary of SK Innovation. SK IE Technology broke ground on the manufacturing facility in Changzhou in September 2018. The company aimed to make it a core material production base with global competitiveness in China, the world’s largest EV market. The Changzhou plant completed the construction process in August and started commercial production in early November.<\/span><\/p>\n (*) LiBS (Lithium-ion Battery Separator, lithium-ion battery separator): A core material for batteries placed between the positive and negative electrodes of the battery in a thin film shape to prevent abnormal operation such as explosion and ignition, also a core high value-added products that affect battery performance and stability<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n <\/p>\n The members of LiBS Changzhou spent valuable time with the students with developmental disabilities, doing various activities together, including having lunch and painting outdoors. It took place right after the commercial production began to demonstrate the company\u2019s strong will to create economic value and social value at the same time.
