SK Innovation\u2019s effort to protect nature is crossing the border to China, spreading positive impacts in more areas outside of Korea. Recently, members of SK Global Chemical have joined the company\u2019s Sanhaejinmi Plogging Campaign, a large scale volunteer activity that is a part of SK Innovation\u2019s practical ESG program to solve the plastic wastes problem.<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n As we introduced in the previous post<\/a>, the Sanhaejinmi Plogging Campaign is participated by all members of SK Innovation, including the CEOs and Presidents. Everyone can join the campaign with not only co-workers but also their family members, friends, etc.<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n \u25b2The Sanhaejinmi Ploggin Campaign is participated by all members of the company, including the CEOs and Presidents. From top left: CEO of SK Innovation Kim Jun, CEO of SK Energy Cho Kyung-mok, CEO of SK Global Chemical Na Kyung-soo, CEO of SK Lubricants Cha Gyu Tak, CEO of SK Incheon Petrochem Choi Yun-seok, \u00a0CEO of SK Trading International Suh Sok-won, CEO of SK IE Technology Rho Jae-sok<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n Joining the members in Korea, SK Global Chemical\u2019s employees who are working in China have been plogging and collecting plastic wastes in Shanghai, Lianyungang, Tianjin, etc.<\/span><\/p>\n \u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n On June 22, about 20 members of SK Global Chemical’s China Investment Management Office participated in plogging activity around Dishui Lake, an artificial lake in Shanghai. On this day, the members reaffirmed their strong will to protect the environment while picking up the wastes, especially plastic that were floating along the lake shore.<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n \u25b2 Members of SK Global Chemical’s China Investment Management Office participated in Sanhaejinmi Plogging Campaign<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n Prior to this, other members of SK Global Chemical in China also joined plogging activities to pick up plastic waste in Shanghai, Lianyungang, and Tianjin in April to celebrate Earth Day.<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n \u25b2 (Top) SK Global Chemical staffs in China took part in Sanhaejinmi Plogging Campaign in Shanghai (left) and Lianyungang (right). \/ (Bottom) SK Global Chemical staffs in China take a group photo after their plogging activity in Tianjin, China.<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n A volunteer of the campaign in China said \u201cWe feel the same when it comes to protection of the environment, no matter where we are.\u201d \u201cWhile we were plogging, I could see that the local Chinese people also showed interest in our campaign.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n The employees of SK Global Chemical will continue the plogging campaign around China.
