Held at the Kom\u00e1rom-Esztergom County Office located at Tatab\u00e1nya city, the award event was attended by President of Kom\u00e1rom-Esztergom County Council Popovics Gy\u00f6rgy, Deputy Minister of Justice Dr. V\u00f6lner P\u00e1l, Hungarian Government Commissioner Dr. Kancz Csaba, CEO of SKBH Han Sang-kyu, and other local officials.<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n \u25b2\u00a0(Left) Governor of Kom\u00e1rom-Esztergom Popovics Gy\u00f6rgy (middle) greets the guests at the award event on September 10 (local time) \/ (Right) SKBH was awarded the State Representative Enterprise Award by Kom\u00e1rom-Esztergom County in recognition of its contribution to the local community.<\/span><\/p>\n \u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n Hungary is a key base for SK Innovation to launch into the European electric vehicle (EV) battery market. The company\u2019s first battery plant in Hungary is located at Kom\u00e1rom and operating with an annual capacity of 7.5GWh. Another 9.8 GWh plant is also being built in the same city. Besides, SK Innovation announced to build new plants with total annual production capacity of 31 GWh at , Iv\u00e1ncsa, which is about 50 km southwest from Budapest.<\/span><\/p>\n \u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n \u25b2 SKBH located in Kom\u00e1rom City, Kom\u00e1rom-Esztergom County, Hungary<\/span><\/p>\n \u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n As part of ESG management, SK Innovation emphasize interactions with the local communities and its role as a corporate citizen wherever its business is. The company believes that frequent communication and cooperation with the locals are the key to business success and the basis for common growth.<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n Protecting the environment around its manufacturing plants has always been one of the most prioritized mission of the company. Earlier, in June this year, SK Battery Hungary members, including CEO Hang Sang-kyu, participated in tree planting volunteer activity near its Kom\u00e1rom factory. The event was joined by Kom\u00e1rom Mayor and other leaders of the city to improve the local environment together.<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n \u25b2\u00a0Mayor of Kom\u00e1rom city Attila Moln\u00e1r joined SKBH members to participate in tree planting volunteer activities at an industrial complex near SKBH\u2019s factory in June this year.<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n In addition to environment protection, as part of its ESG management, SK Battery Hungary has been committing in other social contribution activities for years. In 2019, the company donated 15 million Forints (about USD 50,000) over two years to three public foundations in Kom\u00e1rom city.
