In the twelfth episode of \u201cSK Innovation\u2019s endeavor to achieve Decarbonization\u201d series, we will take a look at SK Energy\u2019s Total Transportation Service (TTS). Let\u2019s meet Lee Jae-ho, Head of Solution & Platform Business Division of SK Energy, to learn how the company is expanding its electric vehicle (EV) charging business and accelerating the transition to eco-friendly energy platforms.<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n \u25b2 Lee Jae-ho, Head of Solution & Platform Business Division, SK Energy<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n \u3163<\/span>First, could you introduce what TTS business is?<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n Digitalization is rapidly changing the world, and there is still a lot of room for improvement in the gas station space. The innovation of TTS, which stands for Total Transportation Service, starts with digitalizing these gas stations.<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n SK Energy is working on a number of projects to dramatically improve customer experience using mobile and IoT (Internet of Things) technologies. In particular, we are actively promoting the establishment of an \u201ceco-friendly mobility service\u201d by integrating eco-friendliness into our fueling and car wash service network.<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n \u25b2 An EV charger installed at SK gas station<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n \u3163<\/span>We would like to know more about the eco-friendly TTS business.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n First, as for TTS, we are preparing an EV charging service for many B2C and B2B customers. We are working on various projects such as installing EV chargers at SK gas stations, and creating a convenient charging and business environment for EV users and charging operators in collaboration with KEPCO and the Ministry of Environment.<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n In addition, together with Soft Berry, the operator of the EV charging application EV Infra, we are intensively promoting a platform business aimed at building an eco-friendly charging infrastructure and providing integrated solutions in the energy sector.<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n \u25b2 EV Infra application operated by Soft Berry<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n Furthermore, we are preparing for our own subscription service that makes it easier for customers to purchase and manage EVs. We also plan to create an eco-friendly and integrated Car Life platform that provides all the services that customers need, from purchasing eco-friendly cars to charging, vehicle\/battery management, and sales of used cars. Such integrated platform is expected to improve the convenience of existing EV owners while also attracting new customers.<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n \u3163<\/span>What are the future plans?<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n Taking one step further, SK Energy\u2019s TTS is developing various O2O services for truck drivers, such as freight transportation, tax-related service, group purchase of vehicle parts, and digital content. Besides, multiple projects are being carried out to prepare for the era of electric, hydrogen, and self-driving trucks. Going forward, SK Energy will build an innovative Car Life platform in line with the digital and eco-friendly era to provide mobility services that enhance the convenience of car owners, contributing to the spread of eco-friendly vehicles.
